Most industrial environments can be very challenging with dust, oil, and water in the air. These challenges can make the selection process tricky when selecting an industrial PC. Consumer computers offer attractive pricing, but unfortunately, the longevity isn't there. In reality, a consumer PC just doesn't have what it takes to withstand the harsh nature of an industrial environment. And on top of this, an industrial computer comes with a much longer lifetime of 5-7 years for all installed components.
Did You Know?An industrial computer remains operational for 7 to 10 years, while the average turnover for a consumer computer is just around 1-2 years.
Unlike most consumer PCs, a fanless industrial PC is built to operate reliably in the toughest of environments, such as:
There are four main types of Panel PCs. While all of them include an integrated touchscreen and a bright and high-resolution display, we help you break down the several options so that you can make an intelligent decision. Please continue reading below to learn more about each type of industrial PC. But please also keep in mind that you can easily connect through chat or phone with one of our industrial automation experts before you purchase.
Enter your name and a convenient contact number and a Teguar account manager will reach out to you within one business day or less to get your project started.

Panel PCs are designed for a great variety of industrial applications. They come with plenty of interfaces and expansion options that can be configured based on your specific needs. Choose between a wide screen or an old-fashioned 4:3 screen ratio with either a resistive or a multi-touch P-Cap Touchscreen. Passive and fanless cooling systems are standard on these computers. Display sizes are available from 7" to 32". These computers are built exclusively with Intel-embedded road map components, and with that, all components are available for up to 7 years.
Touch panel PCs are designed and built for standard fanless industrial applications such as manufacturing automation applications. These ruggedized touch PCs come with a very slim design and a cast aluminum enclosure. They can be operated with either a Windows or Android operation system. Peripherals such as PoE (Power over Ethernet) or Wi-Fi can be custom ordered and installed by request.
These are the most rugged and robust of all industrial PCs. They are specially designed for heavy-duty applications such as steel manufacturing or meat processing plants. The solid (but still light) cast aluminum design make these kinds of computer the perfect fit for environmentally challenging applications. The touch sensors come with either resistive or capacitive touch technology.
The AIO PC is designed to be mounted with either a swing arm or on an Industrial PC Stand. The industrial AIO PC comes with VESA mounting holes on its back panel. This computer is specifically designed for an aesthetically pleasing appearance. The rugged and fanless design makes this an excellent industrial all-in-one computer solution (touch, display & PC) to install in your factory floor. The screen sizes available are from 10" all the way to 32". They also come with fully fanless designed cooling system, even with the latest and most powerful i7 CPUs.
Several items can get in the way of making a simple selection for your industrial computer:
