Charlotte, NC - Teguar is unveiling a new medical tablet, TMT-3495-10, to the healthcare industry. The TMT-3495-10 is designed to provide the best user experience (UX) possible. The tablet is durable and reliable, ideal for emergency rooms, first response situations and in applications where fast, worry-free technology is needed. For convenience and ease of use, everything is integrated into the tablet, including a fingerprint reader, barcode scanner and smart card reader. Users do not have to worry about the tablet dropping, cracking, overheating or being damaged by spills. The TMT-3495-10 is waterproof and ruggedized. The power efficient Intel Apollo Lake processor gives the TMT-3495-10 prolonged battery life and great performance. For intensive performance requirements the latest Intel 7th Generation Kaby Lake Core i5 or i7 processors are optional to provide users with up to 16GB of RAM. Whether it is in a doctor’s office, emergency room, or in the field, this tablet provides reliable performance and ease of use for medical teams.
Medical teams do not have time to log in to their tablet, look up patient information or track inventory in emergency medical situations. The TMT-3495-10 gives clinicians the ability to move fast with integrated tablet tools. The fingerprint reader allows users to activate the tablet or verify the user’s clearance, a quick and simple security measure. The barcode scanner can be used to scan a patient ID bracelet and pull up patient information immediately, or to scan and track medical supplies and paperwork. RFID can also be used to track inventory or verify a user’s identity.
Integrated Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2 and 4G LTE allow medical teams to access EMRs, send and receive patient info, order prescriptions, schedule follow-up appointments and sync up other devices to the tablet. This comprehensive connectivity keeps teams connected whether in the field, in an ambulance, or in the hospital.
The TMT-3495-10 is made for frequent human interactions - weighing less than 3 pounds (1.2 kg). The ergonomic handle feature integrated into the tablet makes it super easy to carry or hold with one hand while inputting information with the other hand. The tablet has a Military-Standard-810G drop rating, meaning it can handle drops and shocks in emergency medical situations, when caregivers don’t have time to be gentle with equipment. The TMT-3495-10 is also IP65 rated, so it’s protected from spills, splashes and harsh medical chemicals, even when chemicals are used frequently to clean the tablet.
With its long-life, hot-swappable battery, this tablet can be used 24/7. This is ideal for ambulance use, where stopping to charge the battery or connecting to the docking station is not possible, or for clinicians to visit patients shift after shift. The TMT-3495-10 is great for less rigorous applications, too. Docking the tablet on its docking station creates a dependable workstation, constant power supply and provides extra IOs, so the tablet can connect to other peripherals or a monitor for an extended display. The integrated features provide convenience and security for doctors and nurses in any setting.
As with all of Teguar’s medical computers and tablets, this tablet meets the latest medical certification: IEC 60601-1 4th Ed. With its medical compliance, rugged bezel, efficient Intel Apollo Lake processor, and an abundance of integrated tools and connectivity, the TMT-3495-10 Rugged Medical Tablet is the ultimate tool for any medical team.
