Teguar Medical Computer Makes Appearance in Times Square

Thanks to a milestone met by Teguar partner PROCEPT BioRobotics, a Teguar brand medical computer could be spotted on one of the big screens in world-famous Times Square on September 16, 2021 in New York City, New York.

Projected onto the Nasdaq building in the northwest corner of 4 Times Square, citizens and tourists alike of New York City were shown advertisements for PROCEPT BioRobotics's Aquablation Therapy solutions. PROCEPT BioRobotic's AquaBeam ROBOTIC SYSTEM is a robotic arm controlled by a surgeon that treats lower urinary tract symptoms caused by BPH in a minimally invasive way. The surgeon operates this robotic system via a mounted Teguar TM-5010-22F medical touchscreen computer affixed to the unit.

While their advertisement was projected onto the exterior of the Nasdaq building, representatives from PROCEPT BioRobotics were inside for the day's opening bell ceremony. The company's CEO, Reza Zadno, PhD, had been invited to ring the bell in honor of PROCEPT BioRobotics becoming a publicly traded company on Sept. 15, 2021. However, instead of ringing the bell himself, Dr. Zadno chose to invite a recent patient of the AquaBeam Robotic System minimally invasive procedure to commemorate the occasion instead.

PROCEPT BioRobotics began working with Teguar Computers in Q4 of 2014 when they were seeking a medical touchscreen solution for their AquaBeam Robotic System. After working closely with the PROCEPT BioRobotics team, a solution was reached and the first shipment of TM-3010-22Fs were sent. Now, nearly seven years later, Teguar is still providing PROCEPT BioRobotics with sleek, high-powered medical touchscreen computers (albeit they've been upgraded to the newer and more powerful TM-5010-22F.)

Full video of the ceremony, as well as shots of the advertisement displayed in Times Square, can be seen on PROCEPT BioRobotic's LinkedIn page.

Teguar wishes to congratulate PROCEPT BioRobotics on not only on their continued financial success, but on their ability to make a difference in the lives of those suffering with BPH.
