Teguar Industrial Android Panel PCs on Forefront of IIoT

Charlotte, NC - Teguar has released a new line of Industrial Android Panel PCs. The new TP-A945 series Android touchscreen computers are powered by the latest Freescale i.MX6 DualLite Arm® Cortex®-A9 CPU and come pre-installed with the Android 6.0.1 (Marshmallow) operating system. By pairing the Freescale i.MX6 DualLite CPU with Android 6.0.1, the TP-A945 panel PCs offer the best CPU performance with the latest software capabilities, making them an ideal candidate for Android based industrial automation applications on factory floors and other IIoT settings. The TP-A945 family is available in several different screen sizes (7”, 8”, 10.1”,12.1”, 15”, 15.6, and 21.5”) to meet the LCD resolution requirements for various applications.

Until recently, android based industrial automation has been limited to the use of tablet computers, which are not always appropriate in terms of mounting, environmental ratings, or appearance. Android tablets are a great option for handheld applications where mobility is required, but they are not specifically designed for applications in fixed locations. The TP-A945 Android panel PCs fill the gap between Android tablets and traditional Panel PCs, making them a cost effective industrial class solution for factory automation and other IIoT applications. The TP-A945 panel PCs can be panel mounted into an enclosure or attached to an arm, stand, or wall.  When panel mounted into an enclosure, the front bezel of the TP-A945 android touchscreen computer is IP65 rated to provide protection from liquid, dust, and debris, allowing for deployments in harsh environments.

The TP-A945 Android panel PCs include a variety of I/O ports including 1 x LAN, 3 x USB, and 1 x RS-232/422/485 configurable COM port. For wireless communication, the TP-A945 Android panel PCs can be equipped with WiFi + Bluetooth or 4G-LTE + GPS, with a SIM card slot available for 4G-LTE cellular communication. All of the TP-A945 Android computers include 1GB DDR3 memory and 4GB eMMC NAND storage to accommodate the general requirements for most Android IoT applications. The TP-A945 Android touchscreens also include a micro-SD slot for data or apps where additional storage is required. The TP-A945 Android computers include a wide range 9~36VDC power input with a standard terminal power block connector, enabling users to easily connect their own DC voltage source. For applications where AC power is a requirement, an optional external AC-to-DC power adapter is available.

All screen sizes of the TP-A945 Android panel PCs are available with either a resistive touchscreen or projected capacitive (PCAP) touchscreen. For applications where gloved hands may be used, a resistive touchscreen is recommended. For applications that require multi-touch or gesturing capabilities, a projected capacitive touchscreen is recommended. Both styles include a full flat front bezel which is beneficial for aesthetic design and wash down purposes. These configuration options make the TP-A945 Android touchscreen panel PCs a great fit for almost any Android IIoT application.
