The TME-5040-22 is ideal for a hospital cart or medical workstation on wheels. This mobile medical computer has three hot swappable batteries that provide up to 12 hours of power, so you can mount it on a non-powered medical cart for a lightweight, ergonomic solution. This medical PC has an Intel Skylake U processor and a wide variety of I/Os. The front panel is true flat to prevent the buildup of dust and microbes. The antibacterial enclosure helps prevent the spread of germs and the front panel is IP65 rated, so this computer can be frequently sprayed and wiped down with medical grade cleaners. The TME-5040-22 is 60601-1 4th Edition medically certified and capable of adding additional isolated I/O for critical medical interfaces.
Three hot-swappable batteries allow you to operate this computer 24/7. The batteries lock into place with a simple switch and can be swapped in seconds. The TME-5040-22 also has three LED battery life indicator lights, so you always know how much power each battery has left.
The TME-5040-22 has an abundance of I/O ports for easy integration with peripherals such as printers, scanners and keyboards. Upgradable options for isolated LAN/USB/COM is also available when required. For cord management and a clean look, this computer comes with an I/O cover that easily attaches to the back of the PC.
Not only do the three batteries power the computer, but they can also be used to power other peripherals. The 24VDC USB allows you to cut out power cords for a truly mobile workstation. Optional cables include a direct power to high definition PTZ cameras used for TelePresence and Telemedicine applications and optional VOIP handsets.
The TME-5040-22 has four capacitive function keys: LED Reading Light, Touch Screen Lock, Touchscreen Unlock, and one Programmable Function Key. Healthcare providers use the reading light to illuminate the area or to read patient files while the patient is sleeping. The touchscreen lock function allows you to clean the touchscreen without interfering with the touch screen or having to power down the unit. The capacitive style switch is activated by tapping on the designated area on the bottom of the unit while keeping a sleek design for easy cleaning.
The Combo Card Reader can read RFID and IC Cards. These can be used as security measures to quickly sign into your EMR software or provide access sensitive patient files. A reserved expansion area on the side of the unit will allow for an MSR reader or any other customized feature.
