The TM-5557-22 is the only computer in its series. This medical computer features a powerful 7th gen Intel Core i5/i7 & Celeron processor and a 21.5" PCap touchscreen. The fanless cooling system prevents the spread of dust and germs and the housing of this computer is made with medical grade plastic that is made to inhibit the growth of germs and withstand spills, sprays and repeated wipe downs with cleaning chemicals. The TM-5557-22 has a front camera, WiFi/BT 4.2 and even isolated I/Os, allowing for easy integration with other medical devices. This medical panel computer has an optional battery pack that provides about two hours of power, so nurses can switch rooms without having to power down the computer, or use a heavy and expensive battery powered cart.
The TM-5557-22 comes standard with 4x USB 3.0, 1x HDMI-out, 1X HDMI-in, 2x LAN RJ45, 1x DC in, 1x audio combo, 4x RS232 and 2x USB 2.0 ports and a convenient 1x USB 2.0 on the side. Programmable on-screen display (OSD) buttons are also located on the side of the unit and can be easily accessed by users.
Should the Medical PC lose power unexpectedly, an optional internal backup battery will provide up to 2hrs of power, giving you plenty of time to back up important patient data. This is also useful for nurses who need to move from one room to the next without shutting down the computer and pushing a heavy workstation on wheels with batteries.
The embedded front 2MP camera has a convenient built-in privacy latch and digital microphone. This is a much better alternative than stick-on privacy covers that can fall off and become a choking hazard after regular chemical wipe downs. The bottom of the unit has built-in LED reading lights with large on/off control for patients to read or for nurses to read charts without waking patients. Two 2-Watt stereo speakers are built in to provide enough volume for a wide range of hearing capabilities.
The TM-5557-22 is 60601-1 4th Edition certified, which incorporates 8KV and 15KV protection, so the computer will not interfere with other electronic equipment or emit dangerous electrical surges to the patient. The TM-5557-22 can also include 4x isolated COM ports for connecting medical devices directly from the computer to patients. This PC also has anti-bacteria, anti-MRSA coating to prevent the spread of germs and microbes. The front bezel is even rated IP65, for regular wipedowns with medical grade cleaners.
The rear side of the TM-5557-22 has an expansion area for a multi-purpose reader or to allow for a quick turn-around customized interface. The standard expansion module is jam packed with RFID, smart card reader, 1D/2D barcode scanner and even a magstripe reader to be compatible with various applications such as patient or asset tracking and secure log-in. *Expansion module is subject to MOQ
The TM-5557-22 is ultra-thin (44 mm) and light weight, making it ideal for mounting on a medical cart. At only 11lbs, it is significantly lighter than similar 21.5” medical all-in-one options. The sleek design incorporates an I/O cover to keep cable routing clean. VESA 75/100 mounting holes also give you the flexibility to be compatible with various types of mounting without having to implement new hardware.
