TOM: Hello. I'm Tom Poplawski, Product Manager here at Teguar Corporation.

JT: And I'm JT, and I am a service technician here at Teguar.

TOM: Today, we're going to give you an example of how we build customized computer solutions and OEM/ODM devices.

JT: So, an OEM is an Original Equipment Manufacturer, while an ODM is an Original Design Manufacturer.

TOM: Most of the time, our product portfolio has what customers need. Sometimes, customers require just a slight modification or upgrade. An example would be this outdoor interactive gaming device, which needed to be extremely reliable, as it is exposed to the elements.

JT: First, we eliminated all the unneeded I/Os to reduce the overall cost. Then, we customized our cable by combining PoE and USB into a single cable solution.

TOM: They also needed a 2D barcode scanner and a customized I/O cover and mounting solution. The customer also required outdoor sunlight readability, so we increased the brightness from 400 nits to a whopping 1000 nits. It also included optical bonding.

JT: Finally, we customized their Android OS. Some of these customizations can include a boot logo, system lockdown features, and preinstalling applications, so it reduces the time to go live.

TOM: Sometimes, applications require even more customization. In that case, we would start an OEM/ODM project. For any customized project — whether it's a minute change or OEM/ODM — we work through project requirements with you. We consider your budget, functional, and regulatory requirements. We then create a prototype for your evaluation and testing. Throughout this entire process, we work closely with you to create the best computer hardware solution.

JT: If you have a unique medical or industrial application, feel free to give us a call or reach us on the web to learn about how you can build your customized solution. If you can dream it...

TOM: We can build it!
