Windows 11 System Requirements Checklist
Windows 10 is losing support in under a month. To avoid cybersecurity vulnerability, among other risks, users must make the switch to Windows 11.
It is vital to ensure your device is ready to update, as Windows 11 has higher standards of system performance than Windows 10. For instance, the minimum storage requirement is doubled, and 32-bit processors are no longer supported.
Use this checklist to compare Windows 11’s installation requirements with the specifications of your device.
(Tip: You can view your system’s specs in Settings > System > About.)
Windows 11 System Requirements
- Processor: 2 or more cores on a 64-bit processor
- RAM: 4 GB or more
- Storage: 64 GB or more
- TPM: TPM 2.0 Required
- If this is the only spec you’re missing, you may be able to enable TPM 2.0 on your existing device. See Microsoft’s Support guide.
- Graphics: DirectX 12 with WDDM 2.0 driver
- Display: HD (720p) or larger
