What is the Forklift Dock V2?Â
The Forklift Dock V2 is a rugged forklift tablet mount and docking station. It holds a Teguar TRT-7080-10 or TRT-7080-12 rugged tablet on a forklift or other industrial vehicle and connects it to vehicle power, the network and peripherals through a 12-pin pogo-pin connector. It is designed for warehouses, distribution centers, manufacturing plants and ports, and it also fits several other Teguar rugged tablets listed under Compatible Tablets.Â
Built for the Demands of Material HandlingÂ
The V2 was redesigned for life on a moving vehicle. It is certified to MIL-STD-810H for shock and vibration and is FCC, CE, RoHS and REACH compliant. Inside, improved pogo-pin contacts and a redesigned PCB deliver a more reliable power and data connection between dock and tablet.Â
Connectivity with M12 CablesÂ
Every external connection uses a locking M12 connector, and each data port ships with a plastic dust cap. The dock connects through the following cables:Â
- Power: 4-pin A-coded M12 DC-in cable, 3.5 m, ending in bare leads for direct wiring to the vehicle electrical systemÂ
- LAN: wired Ethernet on a locking M12 connector for vehicles that need a wired network linkÂ
- USB or RJ50: 12-pin A-coded M12 cable ending in dual female USB-A or dual male RJ50 connectors, for barcode scanners and other peripheralsÂ
- Serial: M12-to-DB9 cable, available male or female, for serial devices such as scales and vehicle controllersÂ
Why Choose the Forklift Dock V2?Â
Less downtime on the floor. Locking connectors and a stronger tablet connection mean fewer dropped connections, fewer damaged ports and fewer service calls for loose cables.Â
Secure tablets with flexible access. The integrated key lock keeps the tablet in the dock and prevents unauthorized removal. The lock can also be operated without the key, so each site can choose quick release or tamper-resistant security.Â
One dock for mixed fleets. The 12–36 VDC input supports 12V, 24V and 36V vehicle electrical systems, so one dock can be standardized across many vehicle types. The dock delivers 15V ⎓ 4A (60W) to the tablet, keeping it charged while in use.Â
Straightforward installation. VESA 75/100 and AMPS mounting patterns work with standard vehicle mounting arms and brackets.Â
Other Compatible TabletsÂ
The Forklift Dock V2 is also compatible with the following Teguar rugged tablets:Â
- TRT-5280-10
- TRT-5280-12
- TRT-7480-10
- TRT-7480-12
Future generations of the TRT-7080-10 and TRT-7080-12 will also be supported.Â
Frequently Asked QuestionsÂ
Can the tablet be used while it is in the Forklift Dock V2?Â
Yes. The tablet stays fully usable while docked. Operators can use the touchscreen, scan barcodes and access WMS or ERP software while the dock powers and charges the tablet.Â
What is MIL-STD-810H?Â
MIL-STD-810H is a U.S. Department of Defense test standard that verifies equipment can withstand environmental stresses. The Forklift Dock V2 is certified to its shock and vibration tests, which simulate the constant movement and impacts of vehicle use.Â
Why use M12 connectors on a forklift dock?Â
M12 connectors are circular industrial connectors that screw into place. Unlike standard USB or serial plugs, they resist loosening under constant vibration and seal against dust and moisture when connected. That makes them the preferred connector for vehicles and factory equipment.
