Teguar Donates Computers to Jaguar Rescue Center

The Jaguar Rescue Center in Costa Rica is a temporary or permanent home for ill, injured and orphaned animals. With a focus on monkeys, sloths, other mammals, birds and reptiles, the JRC provides veterinary & rehabilitation services, round-the-clock care and comfort to animals that would otherwise be unable to survive in the rainforest or the waters of the Caribbean often due to injury or disfigurement as a result of humans. Since 2008, JRC has rescued more than 9,000 wild animals, returning about 48% to their natural habitats. Each life saved strengthens one of the most biodiverse regions on Earth, a landscape that shelters nearly six percent of all known species.

In the past year, the JRC has completed significant expansion of their facilities, enabling even greater animal care. To help outfit their hospital and support their incredible work, Teguar stepped in with a donation of Teguar Medical All-In-One computers.

The TM-5557-22 is ultra-thin and weighs only 11lbs, making it the lightest weight medical computer in its class. The fanless cooling system allows for quiet operation and prevents the spread of dust and germs. The medical grade plastic has an anti-bacterial coating and the front is IP65 rated, so this PC can withstand spills, sprays and repeated wipe downs with cleaning chemicals. This medical panel computer has an optional battery pack that provides about two hours of power, so nurses (or in this case, veterinarians) can switch rooms without having to power down the computer or use a heavy and expensive battery powered cart.
