Teguar's partnership with Hailo aims to meet this demand by integrating Hailo's state-of-the-art AI accelerators into Teguar's robust computer systems. The state-of-the-art design of Hailo's AI chips, or Neural Processing Units (NPUs), efficiently handle complex neural network computations at the edge. Often this is in the form of Intel x86 processing, but as we look to adapt to the demands of Artificial Intelligence, having specialized NPUs from Hailo will deliver a better experience for customers at a lower cost and with less heat. James: “With Teguar’s industrial and medical-grade computers and tablets, there are a lot of benefits and synergies. Hailo’s processors are specifically designed to run advanced AI models on edge devices, therefore they provide high-performance, real-time video analytics at a low power consumption so no active cooling, no large batteries are required. They are also small and cost-efficient, and so all together, combined with Teguar’s compute solutions, we offer a lot of benefits to customers.”
James: “Some of the key features and capabilities of our chips are that Hailo’s processors offer the world's best performance-per-watt, and performance-per-dollar ratios.”
James: “Looking at the trends it's been fascinating [...] it's coming fast and furious, it’s definitely an exciting time. The markets and trends and where things are headed – AI today goes beyond analytics. We’re seeing more and more applications that combine video enhancements with analytics, as well as image and content generation. Most of the generative AI is taking place in the cloud today, but for reasons of latency, cost, privacy, definitely, we’re seeing a growing demand for running generative AI applications directly on edge devices.”
