Waterproof tablets from Teguar primarily come in two classes: IP65 and IP67. Both tiers are effectively waterproof, but the IP67 tablets below are “protected against the effects of temporary immersion in water” according to iec.ch/ip-ratings. This means that even when fully submerged in water, these tablets maintain full functionality. Even the touchscreens will continue to work while these tablets are underwater!
While the tablets listed below are exclusively offered by Teguar with an IP67 rating, over 95% of Teguar’s rugged tablet catalog is rated at IP65. This means they are protected against water projected by a nozzle at a 0.25 in distance from the tablet from any direction. For many projects, this is more than enough protection against moisture to stand up to the rigors of the tablet’s environment.
The TRT-4380 Series is available in screen sizes of 8", 10.1" and 12.2". These rugged tablets have Gorilla glass touchscreens, with projected capacitive touch and optional high bright LCDs. They run on the Intel Quad Core Z8350 power efficient mobile CPU allowing for extended battery life. These tablets are built for rugged applications, such as on the manufacturing floor, at a construction site, on vehicles and forklifts, and for military uses. They are MIL-STD-810 drop and shock rated, and IP65 waterproof and dustproof. The TRT-4380 Series has WiFi, Bluetooth, 3G/4G, GPS, NFC, and an optional barcode scanner. These tablets are built to run reliably, wherever you go.
For many projects requiring a waterproof tablet, an IP67 rating is, frankly, overkill. But for the project manager who already knows that an IP67 tablet will be required, or the project manager who simply wants the peace of mind knowing their tablet has total moisture protection, Teguar has the IP67 tablets to choose from above. For all other projects where water droplets might splash onto the tablet, or there’s risk of precipitation for the tablet, an IP65 tablet will likely do just fine, and Teguar has dozens of IP65 tablet options available.

How to Determine When to Upgrade from IP65 to IP67
Choosing a Computer or Monitor with the Right IP Rating
Whether you choose an IP65 or IP67 waterproof tablet, both contain a rating that starts with a “6”. In an IP rating, the first number refers to the product’s resilience to solid dust and debris, and a six denotes “no ingress of dust; complete protection against contact (dust-tight).” All of Teguar’s industrial rugged tablet pc offerings guarantee protection against dust particles and flying debris, as well as drops (5 ft or lower), shocks, vibrations, impact, and any other sort of abuse your project may demand.
