To offer an excellent solution for applications under harsh and bright lighting environments Teguar enhances the IP65 enclosure and adds the low reflective touch panel to the Stainless Steel Touch PC Series. The 1210-Series can be used as free-standing or swivel arm mounted HMI for CNC machines; or used as shop floor terminal for chemical & steel plants where the waterproof computers<\/strong> are exposed to spray, heat and air-borne particles; or used in the food, beverage, pharmaceuticals and farming productions where daily cleaning with pressure water is essential.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Whole unit IP65\/NEMA 4X \u2013 water & dust proof<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

For harsh environment applications the fully enclosed 1210-Series has to meet the International Protection (or Ingress Protection) Rating of IP65\/NEMA 4X. 4X protection means that the enclosures is constructed for either indoor or outdoor use to provide a degree of protection to personnel against access to hazardous parts; to provide a degree of protection of the equipment inside the enclosure against ingress of solid foreign objects (windblown dust); to provide a degree of protection with respect to harmful effects on the equipment due to the ingress of water (rain, sleet, snow, splashing water, and hose directed water); that provides an additional level of protection against corrosion; and that will be undamaged by the external formation of ice on the enclosure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The enclosure is designed without any exposed ventilation slots or gaps. Waterproof rubbers are utilized for all housing joints, and strong glue is used to attach the touch panel to the front bezel. For I\/O connections, a sealing cover with seven waterproof connectors is added. For for the optional 802.11 b\/g\/n mini PCI-e wireless module, it is equipped with waterproof antenna set.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

316 grade stainless steel<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

For further robustness of the 1210-enclosure a high-end grade 316 stainless steel to used which is also known as marine grade stainless steel.  The 316 is the standard molybdenum-bearing grade stainless steel with excellent forming and welding characteristics, the molybdenum gives 316 better overall corrosion resistant, particularly higher resistance to pitting & crevice corrosion in chloride environments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Low reflection touch panel<\/strong> <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In bright lighting conditions the reflected light always causes the extrinsic contrast ratio of the LCD to reduce close to 1.0, which means the LCD is unreadable. Instead of using high price sunlight readable LCD (optical bonding or ultra-high brightness), Teguar offers low reflection (LR) resistive touch panel alternative. By adding the extra polarizer film and quarter-wave phase retardation film onto the touch panel, most of the reflected light will be effectively blocked. The LR resistive touch panel can achieve a total reflectivity in the range of 1.5% and with 76% light transmittance; this is sufficiently adequate for the LCD to be sunlight readable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thermal management for wide temperature usage<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The 1210-Industrial Touch Panel PC<\/strong>\u2019s computing core is Intel 45nm Atom N270 processor with Mobile 945GSE Express chipset. This platform is Intel\u2019s latest power-optimized platform to provide robust performance-per-watt. To ensure this completely-sealed system can accommodate to wide range temperature usage, multiple thermal sensors are built in to continuously monitor those temperature critical components. Different threshold temperature is preset either for fanless running or different fan speed running. With this intelligent fan control design, the 1210-Series can be used with 104\u00b0F (40\u00b0C) ambient operating temperature. By further adapting wide range temperature components (especially for HDD and memory), the system can run under 131\u00b0 F (55\u00b0C) ambient operating temperature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
